ALL YACHTS ARE NOT CREATED EQUAL
OVERVIEW
We've addressed some deficiencies, common to many builders, that we frequently encounter. It's imperative that all other aspects of the design and build process be executed properly, without taking shortcuts.
These are just a few key points, but vital aspects, of what sets OYD ahead of others in assuring the owner the full value of their investment in a new build. Aside from benefitting from the time-tested designs of base platforms and experience that OYD has to offer, we also provide a necessary element of checks and balances throughout the design and construction process.
Our philosophy uses the best ideas and designs from decades of designing megayachts, commercial and government vessels. This is applied with continued refinements incorporated into each new project.
We choose the best materials for the purpose intended and select quality commercial grade equipment and machinery to assure years of reliable service. All shipboard systems have full redundancy (in the event of any failures).
As an independant design firm, we are not biased to using specific components or materials because it may cost less initally and then fail prematurely. We make our selections based on the optimum choice for the service intended. Cost is a factor, but it is not at the top of the list.
OYD gives its clients choices. If overall project cost becomes a challenge, we look to quality, overseas builders with competitive labor rates to reduce costs.
